The UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and Blacklight Global Entertainment present a special screening of WE’RE NOTHING AT ALL, followed by a conversation with acclaimed Hong Kong filmmaker Herman Yau, moderated by Professor Michael Berry.

Set in the aftermath of a devastating bus explosion, WE’RE NOTHING AT ALL follows retired forensic expert Lung Sir as he uncovers the lives behind the tragedy. Moving beyond the investigation, the film offers an intimate, socially charged examination of trauma, marginalization, and the people a city chooses not to see.

The conversation will explore the film’s emotional and social landscape, as well as Herman Yau’s four-decade career across independent cinema, genre filmmaking, and major Hong Kong blockbusters.
